  My advice is to read the menu over well before you get there. They have so many menu items to choose from. We went for fish and chips, but will have to return so that we can try their other dishes. There's pan seared salmon with a side of rice, fried green beans, broasted chicken, fried chicken, egg rolls, hush puppies, cucumber salad and more, Oh My!
  Our fish was coated in a tasty, crunchy batter and could not have been cooked any better. The side of crispy coleslaw had just the right amount of creamy dressing. I ordered the zucchini, it was delish. My hubby had the fries, they were also very good.
  
  Their newly decorated dining room is quite comfortable and super clean, our meals came out fast. The gentleman who helped us could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We will be back. Great place, delicious food, wonderful service.

  Portions are great for the price. They just remodeled the entire dining area, brand new everything - tables, chairs, counters, menus.  Fish, chicken, shrimp, hushpuppies. The menus are surprisingly big for a smaller.

  I have lived in Simi over 20 years and this was my first visit to Mr. Fish and Chips!  Can't believe I haven't been here sooner.  The tempura battered fish was excellent!  Generous portions and very good.  The popcorn shrimp was fantastic as well.  The shrimp was very generous and not just over battered scrap pieces.  The service was friendly and kind.  I really like supporting local business and highly recommend this one!!!  Btw, they now accept credit cards and are no longer cash only, like I've read in previous reviews.

  Mr. Fish & Chips is a basic, no frills take out joint in a strip mall whIch is right next door to Sushi Tanaka that is the closest thing to Japanese driven haute cuisine in the entire Simi Valley.  
  
  Mr. F&C has a trick up its sleeve when it comes to their version of fried chicken. It seems salt brined to keep the meat moist & texture meaty. Then dusted w/  what may be corn starch for a thin, crispy batter.
  
  It is then Broasted which is "a method of cooking chicken and other foods using high pressure & deep frying." The skin on the thigh was light, crisp like chicharrón, & melt in your mouth.  There seems to be a soupçon of garlic, black pepper & maybe a trace of chinese 5 spice.
  
  Coleslaw is fermented a bit to give a slight sourness & softer texture dressed w/ sweet mayonnaise. Vinegared, semi sweet Cucumber salad is made from standard cucumbers so the the texture tends toward softly crisp unlike Japanese or Persian cukes which have more of a snap. Nice refreshing contrast for the fried chicken.
  
  Mushroom pieces covered in a thick, semi crunchy, heavy batter was good, but the exemplary fried chicken overshadowed them all.
  
  We were the only ones ordering so the food came up amazingly fast. There are a few fast food tables if you have no other alternative spot to eat. A good clean lager like Sapporo, Asahi, Orion, or a hoppy IPA may be a good pairing. There must be a nearby liquor store.  
  
  There is a bit of chinese & fried bar food items. 3+ Yelp stars.  Cash  only.

  The fish and chips were delicious. Their Thai ice tea boba was very tasty. I plan on trying their fried chicken soon. The people who work here are very gracious. It's a small place, but welcoming.
